Cosmic Spell is a forward-thinking video game development studio known for its innovative design approach and distinctive visual style. Founded in 2021 in Valencia by a team of entrepreneurs with over 20 years of experience in successful startups across the video game and entertainment sectors, we are backed by No Spoon, a renowned Venture Builder that fosters innovation and growth.

Our team is not just a group of developers – we are a multidisciplinary collective of programmers, designers, artists, gamers, streamers, journalists, and producers, all working together to create engaging, high-quality games. We strive to develop immersive gaming experiences that connect with players on a deeper level, ensuring our products have a lasting impact within and beyond the gaming industry.

We are currently looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our team and contribute to shaping the interface and overall user experience of our first original IP: Soul Breach, a F2P turn-based RPG with collectible mechanics.

Requisitos mínimos:

• 3+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, preferably in the game industry.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Solid understanding of design fundamentals, UX principles, and mobile usability standards.
• Knowledge of basic art principles, including composition and visual hierarchy.
• Strong understanding of typography, layout, and readability for mobile interfaces.
• Ability to adapt to established workflows, processes, and production requirements.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Autonomous, structured, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Fluent in Spanish (spoken and written), as our daily communication is in Spanish.
• Passion for games, especially RPGs and collectible mechanics.

Requisitos deseados:

• Experience designing UI/UX for RPGs and/or turn-based games, with a solid understanding of monetization flows (e.g., gacha, shops, reward screens, live events).
• Knowledge of UI animation principles and motion design to enhance visual feedback and interactivity.
• Experience conducting user testing and iterating based on feedback, player behavior, or gameplay data.
• Technical knowledge of Unity’s UI system (uGUI) and asset integration workflows.
• Hands-on knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Agile workflows (Scrum/Kanban).
• Fluency in English (for documentation and potential cross-border collaborations).

Responsabilidades:

• Design intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user interfaces that support the game’s mechanics, systems, and narrative.
• Create UX flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to iterate on and validate design concepts.
• Translate complex game systems into clear and accessible UI components (HUD, menus, tooltips, gacha, events, shops, etc.).
• Collaborate closely with game designers, artists, and developers to ensure the UI aligns with gameplay goals, player comprehension, visual identity, and technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain the UI style guide and component library, ensuring a consistent visual language across the game.
• Apply usability principles and accessibility best practices to improve onboarding, clarity, retention, and overall user experience.
• Iterate and refine designs based on feedback from playtests, team reviews, and player telemetry.
• Identify UX issues and propose actionable design solutions aligned with F2P systems and user behavior.
• Meet design deadlines and deliverables established by the production team, ensuring clear and consistent communication on progress.
